Can a home pregnancy test show your pregnant with a tubal pregnancy ?

i thank i might be pregnant and my tubes are tied i dont no if the pregnancy test is able to detect my hormones is it possible that the test showing up neg could just be that it cant detect the pregnancy dones that make sense?
