When can I have sex after giving birth and having a tubal done?

I totally forgot to ask my doctor and I won't see him until July 12th. I don't want to call him to ask him this question. I had a small complication after my tubal was done but I feel 100%! I didn't tear or anything.. but I have light spotting/bleeding still. I am going on 3 and half weeks since I delivered my baby. When would it be safe? Is it safe now? I just want to get back to normal again! Thanks!
